In 2021, Ilona graduated with a Master’s Degree in Musical Theatre from Associated Studios Performing Arts Academy.

During her time in the academy, Ilona continued to perfect her singing, acting, and dancing skills. For her graduation performance in the Playground Theatre, Ilona Skyte was cast in Hair the Musical as Crissy. As a pleasant surprise, one of the shows that week was attended by the patron of the Associated Studios Mr Jeremy Irons himself. The professional level show required weeks of leg-aching rehearsals and training for endless hours, which was a true testament of physical stamina and show-must-go-on skills. Still, for Ilona this was one of the most thrilling times playing as Crissy.
